The Confetti Effect

Spring is in the air, and it’s the time to share some joy, love, grace, and encouragement!
Did you know that April is National Card and Letter Writing Month? I love this idea because I love celebrating the special people in my life! How fun for an entire month, we send cards and share more joy and love! This annual commemoration is something I desire to celebrate every month of the year.
Celebrating others in life highlights the bright spots of our days. Taking the time to intentional pause to reflect upon others represents the moments in life that truly matter. For me, one of my sweetest joys is recognizing and celebrating the special people in my life. Remembering and honoring others beautifully portrays one of the greatest privileges that we all share.
For those who know my heart, joy and encouragement is my true passion. Sharing with others about God’s Promises, His Word, and encouraging others in their faith fulfills my heart’s calling.
My overarching purpose through my writing is to glorify God by encouraging others through sharing God’s Word and His Promises, bringing joy to others’ hearts, and in turn, filling my own heart with joy. The Lord has interwoven my love for writing and encouraging hearts into a beautiful addition and extension to my writing and encouragement ministry, Confetti by DK.
My ‘why’ for creating Confetti by DK, first and foremost, is to glorify God by encouraging hearts through the creative design of beautiful faith-inspiring cards. For many, writing and receiving a handwritten note encourages and makes the heart full. I, too, love how a handwritten card can truly encourage my heart and speak affirming words of love and God’s Truth into my soul. We all wholeheartedly welcome and appreciate others taking the time to encourage us with endearing words of friendship, love, and hope. Hearts are truly touched and changed by the love of Christ when we take time to encourage others.
Another significant reason for creating Confetti by DK is the pure joy in seeing how others use these precious cards to encourage others’ hearts. I love seeing firsthand the beautiful expressions of love as you share all the creative, grace-filled, and thoughtful ways you use my cards. How fun to see you sprinkling glimpses of God’s love and grace into others’ hearts!
Confetti by DK is on a mission to share as much joy, love, and grace as possible, encouraging hearts with the love of Christ and His message of hope.
Like little pieces of confetti, joy-filled, handwritten cards—which we intentional share with those we love—fall into the hearts of others and make all the difference. Words of encouragement and affirmation truly matter in our lives.
As I often share, you will never know how far and wide your ‘confetti’ will scatter and how many hearts you may encourage.
The ‘confetti effect’ is multiplied exponentially as we all share joy upon joy with others. Jesus lavishly loves us and gifts us with His joy. As we receive His love and joy, we, in turn, are compelled to love others and share His joy. The result is joy upon joy blooming and blossoming everywhere!

Lastly, sending a card shares immeasurably more than the card itself, but rather the love and thoughtfulness behind the card communicates a greater message of love, appreciation, friendship, affirmation, gratitude, and genuine encouragement. Taking the time to intentional write a personal card lets others know how deeply you care. A handwritten note communicates “You are loved!” A special handwritten note remains a timeless gift which we all treasure.
Handwritten cards express how much you care, appreciate, and love others. Faith-inspiring cards speak life, Truth, and courage into hearts during times of trials and disappointments. Grace-filled cards extend empathy into seasons of sorrow and loss. Celebratory cards remember the milestone moments, even highlighting and celebrating the small moments of triumph that often get overlooked in the busyness of everyday life. Heartfelt cards connect us in meaningful ways.
